Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

AUP breach is a material EULA breach and grounds for immediate revocation without compensation except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

1. Principle

The Licensee is solely responsible for the legality of their sites, offers, payments, ads, personal-data processing and end-user conduct. Supply of the Software is not an endorsement of any Licensee project.

2. Prohibited purposes (Licensee duty not to use the Software for)

Without limiting applicable law, the Licensee must not use the Software for:

• crimes or administrative offences, including fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion;
• illegal trade in prohibited substances, weapons or explosives;
• sexual exploitation of minors, any CSAM/CSE, grooming;
• malware, botnets, unauthorised access to third-party systems;
• clearly illegal gambling, pyramid schemes, forged instruments;
• IP infringement, phishing, skimming, social engineering against third parties;
• trafficking in persons, extortion, stalking;
• any other purpose prohibited by law where the Licensee operates or where harm occurs;
• any attempt to attribute the Licensee’s unlawful activity to the Licensor, developers or rightholders.

This list is a prohibition on the Licensee, not guidance and not an exhaustive catalogue of crimes. The Licensor does not assist those activities and is not a publisher, host or operator of the Licensee’s shops.

3. Ads and payments

The Licensee alone complies with ad networks, PSPs and banks. Third-party account bans are not a Software defect and create no Licensor liability.

4. Abuse reports

If the Licensor learns of credible use of the Software for an obvious serious crime, it may revoke the licence and, if required by law, notify authorities. That is a right, not a duty of general monitoring.

5. Third parties

Staff, contractors and customers of the Licensee are the Licensee’s risk; the Licensee must make them comply with this AUP.
